The cost of social media management depends on how many channels are covered, how often content goes out, what kind of content it is (video, photos, graphics) and who handles filming and editing. Replies to comments and messages, reporting and any ad campaigns also play a part, and the ad budget itself is always a separate expense. Two quotes can only be compared if they spell out, item by item, what’s included.
What makes up the price.
- The number of channels: Instagram, Facebook and TikTok each have their own formats and habits. Every extra channel means extra work, even when content is adapted from one to another.
- Frequency: how many posts, videos and stories a month. Consistency matters more than volume, but every piece still has to be planned, made and published.
- The type of content: a graphic with some text takes far less work than a video with a script, filming and editing.
- Who does the filming: you shooting on your phone, following clear guidance, is one thing; someone coming to you with equipment is another.
- Editing: cuts, subtitles, music, on-screen text. It’s often the most time-consuming part.
- Replying to comments and messages: keeping an eye on the inbox every day is a job in itself, not a detail.
- Reporting: which numbers, how often, with what explanations.
- Campaigns: managing ads is an extra service, and the ad budget is paid separately, straight to the platform.
How to choose the advertising budget, which stays separate from the fee, is explained in our guide “How much it costs to promote on Instagram and Facebook”.
How to compare two quotes.
Two offers with very different prices often describe two different services. Put them side by side and check these lines:
| Item | What to ask |
|---|---|
| Channels | Which profiles are included? |
| Content | How many pieces a month, and how many are videos? |
| Filming | Who does it, and is on-site filming included? |
| Editing and copy | Who writes the scripts and who edits? |
| Messages | Who replies to comments and private messages? |
| Approval | Do I approve a calendar or every single post? |
| Reports | How often do they arrive and what do they include? |
| Campaigns | Are they included? Is the ad budget separate? |
| Term | How long is the commitment and how do I cancel? |
If a line is left blank, ask for it to be written down. The right price is one where you know exactly what you’re getting for it.
Questions to ask before you sign.
- Whose name are the profiles in? They should belong to your business, and the followers should stay yours even if you switch provider.
- How will you access my accounts? The platforms let you add collaborators without handing over your password.
- What do I need to do? Footage, photos, updates on what’s new: better to know from the start how much of your time it will take.
- Who will I be dealing with? Knowing who you talk to saves you explaining everything all over again.
- What happens if the numbers don’t grow? The answer tells you a lot about how they work.
Warning signs.
- Guaranteed followers: real numbers are built with consistent, well-made content, not promised on paper.
- A price that doesn’t say what’s included: how much content, on which channels, who does the filming. Without those details, two offers can’t be compared.
- Profiles registered to the agency, or your password requested as the very first thing.
- No calendar: posts go out “whenever”, and you never know what’s coming.
- Ad budget mixed in with the fee, so you can’t tell how much actually reaches the platform.
- No report, or a report full of numbers without a word of explanation.
Social media management with Aleryc.
Aleryc’s prices are published on the Social media management page: Basic €284 a month, Standard €572 a month and Premium €1,146 a month, with a 3-month minimum term. If you’re based in another European Union country (we only work with clients who have a VAT number), any taxes or mandatory costs for that country are shown in your written quote, before you sign. Any package can be customised by adding the services you want, at extra cost: from then on it becomes a custom quote starting from there. We set the exact amount in the written quote, built around your business, and the amount in the quote is what you pay. With our social media management we look after Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, choosing together the channels where your audience really spends its time. We handle ideas, scripts, graphics, editing, copy and publishing; the frequency depends on the package (2, 4 or 7 pieces of content a week) and we plan the content together in the content calendar, which you approve every month before anything goes out.
You usually shoot the footage yourself on your phone, following our guidance; if you take social media management, on request, anywhere in Italy, you can have one single initial training session, based on a written quote. You handle comments and messages, because nobody knows your customers better than you. The profiles stay yours and, whenever possible, we use collaborator access. Every month the report shows people reached, new followers and top content. Campaigns are a separate service, with the ad budget kept apart and in your name: we explain the difference between boosting a post and running a campaign in a dedicated guide. For restaurants and bars there’s also our social media manager for restaurants service. Write to us (in English, by email or WhatsApp) to tell us about your business.
