Lanterna Service: a website born from Genoa’s lighthouse.

A Genoa cleaning company, a name taken from the city’s lighthouse and one simple idea: telling the story of cleanliness as light returning to things.

In short

Lanterna Service is a cleaning company working in Genoa and its province, with households, companies, shops and apartment buildings. Aleryc Digital Studio designed its website from scratch: it opens on a penthouse at blue hour with the Lanterna beyond the glass, presents seven services, shows a real job and leads to a request for a free inspection that arrives on WhatsApp already written. It’s a real project for a real client, and the website will be online soon.

The starting point.

Anyone looking for a cleaning company has to do something that’s no small matter: let someone into their home, office or shop, often while they’re out. Even before the price, they want to understand who they’ll be dealing with.

Lanterna Service works in very different spaces: houses and villas, offices and studios, shops, apartment buildings, rooms that have just been renovated. The website had to speak to all of them without turning into a list, and the key was already in the company’s name.

A name that was already an idea.

The Lanterna is Genoa’s lighthouse, and a lighthouse does one thing: it brings light where it’s needed. The whole project starts from there. Cleaning isn’t told through foam and gloves, but as light returning to surfaces and showing things as they are.

The website opens on a penthouse at blue hour. A window cleaner passes over the glass and through it you can see the Lanterna, beyond the port, while the headline promises “Spotless spaces, in a new light”. As you scroll you pass through the window and fly towards the lighthouse, until its light fills the screen and settles on an ivory background. From dark to light: that’s already the story of what a good clean does, before a single line of explanation.

First how they work, then what they do.

After the flight, the first thing you read isn’t a price list. It’s a sentence, “Clean only gets noticed when it’s missing”, followed by three commitments: tailored, precise, discreet. Someone who has to open their front door wants to know how the people coming in behave, and only then what they can do.

The services come right after, seven in all, in a horizontal gallery: the photo in the middle is in focus and the others join it one at a time. Each card explains in a few lines what the service includes, from home cleaning to the crystallisation of marble floors, and closes with three words for anyone scrolling quickly.

The proof: a real job.

A cleaning company’s promises are worth little without proof, and the clearest proof is a before and after. On the website the “before” fills the screen and opens like a window onto the “after”: the awning of a Genoa optician’s shop, greyed by smog, dust and salt, comes back bright. Two images are enough, with no adjectives.

Genoa, neighbourhood by neighbourhood.

For a local company one question decides everything: do you cover my area? The website answers with the city. Evening falls, the lighthouse beam travels along the Genoa coastline and lights up the neighbourhoods one by one, from Voltri to Nervi, each with its distance from the Lanterna. Visitors look for their own and find it. The same neighbourhoods are written out in full in the frequently asked questions, so search engines can read them too.

Right after that, the method fits in four verbs written across the whole screen: we see, we prepare, we clean, we return.

The inspection, in five taps.

The whole website leads to one action: asking for an inspection, free and with no obligation, like the quote. The request can be filled in on the home page or on a dedicated page, with five short questions: what needs cleaning, how big the space is, how often, at what time and who to call. Every step fits entirely on the screen, with no scrolling, and at the end there’s a summary.

From there the request goes out on WhatsApp already written, in the app people open every day, and Lanterna Service calls back to confirm. Anyone who’d rather talk straight away finds the phone number right beside it. That’s also what a custom website is for: removing steps between interest and first contact.

What you don’t see.

The story is told in images, but the content stays readable: about 1,000 words are already written in the page, without waiting for scripts, so the programs ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity use to read the web find services, areas and questions. Search engines also receive structured data with the business, the seven services, the two contact details, the areas served and ten questions with answers, the same ones you can read on the page.

Speed was measured in the lab on 2 November 2026, on a simulated 4G network: the home page opens in about a second and a half both on a computer and on a simulated phone with its processor slowed down four times, with no visible shifts during loading. Each step of the request was tested on 18 screen combinations, from small phones to large computers. The website is also in English, uses no cookies or tracking systems, loads only its own files and can’t be embedded inside other pages.

You can run the same checks on your own website: we explain them in the guide Does your website work? 7 free checks.

Why it works for the people using it.

People arriving on the Lanterna Service website have few questions: can I trust you, do you do what I need, do you cover my area, what does it cost me to find out. The website answers in the order they arise. The Lanterna says where the company comes from, the sentence and the three commitments how it works, the services what it does, the before and after that it knows how, the map how far it reaches. At the end the free inspection removes the last doubt, because you know the cost before you decide.

Results.

The website will be online soon, so for now you won’t find numbers on visits and requests here. We only publish real, measured data, and we’ll add it when there is some.
